Thoughts

I mean it as a compliment when I say that this plays out like a Ferengi episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Those episodes weren’t always my favorites, but I enjoy them more and more with every rewatch.

All Quark is trying to do is boost his sliding business at the newly-built Deep Space 9 space station. When he hears that a new installment in the popular Vulcan Love Slave holo-program may be coming out, he wants to be the first to have it. But he’s thwarted at every turn. Did I mention this felt like a Ferengi episode?

Overall, I gave this 4 out of 5 stars. It was a quick and short read, which would normally have been the B or C plot of a longer novel. But this eBook novella was the perfect fit for this story. It would be great to have more like this!
